Dear God I hate to disappoint you
as you surly know I have not been true
by now the sun is getting cold around here
makes one think of you bringing the wind to sheer
like the velvet on a rose petal with drops of morning dew
all this as phenomenon circles what I've been through

ravishing winds speak upon us again
what is the wish, where to do we send?
at one with the calm, like dangling fireflies
(hide beneath the sky)
so we go to where the moon is on the rise
(above the earth worn lie)
change is vast, change is good
change is pain un-understood

the waters of the world call up and bend
sweet face forgive me now
for I have been nothing but a friend
